Comments regarding the Covanta Incinerator sent to BACI

Thank you for seeking my view. In general, I am against the development and my reasons are very much based on the evidence I have found on your website. I support the court case you are bringing and have made a personal donation to your cause. I have included a statement on my campaign leaflet which reads, “I will scrutinise and innovate to ensure: Controversial developments, such as the Rookery Pit Energy Recovery Facility (including a massive incinerator) will be resisted, applying all available legal measures to protect our health and wellbeing.” For the avoidance of any doubt, I stand against the development and, if elected, I will apply any pressure within the bounds of my sphere of influence to ensure proper legal measures are taken to resist as far as the law allows up to and including the complete revocation of any planning consent given previously and the obstruction of any future planning consent.
